ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਹਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੀਮਾ ਨੇ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ 2.36 ਲੱਖ ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਬਜਟ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਤਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਜਿੱਠਣ 'ਤੇ ਕੇਂਦ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਖੇਤਰ ਲਈ 5,598 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਰਕਮ ਅਲਾਟ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਾਲ 2025-26 ਦੇ ਬਜਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਨਵਾਂ ਟੈਕਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਹੀਨਾਵਾਰ 1,000 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ 'ਆਪ' ਦੇ ਚੋਣ ਵਾਅਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੀ।
ਇਹ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ (ਆਪ) ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਚੌਥਾ ਬਜਟ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਇਹ 'ਯੁੱਧ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਣ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ' (ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਜੰਗ) ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਜਟ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਚੀਮਾ ਨੇ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ 'ਆਪ' ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਚੀਮਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ "ਡਰੱਗ ਜਨਗਣਨਾ" ਕਰਨ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਜਨਗਣਨਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਵਰ ਕਰੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਲਨ, ਨਸ਼ਾ ਛੁਡਾਊ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਆਦਿ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਲਈ ਡੇਟਾ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰੇਗੀ, ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ-ਆਰਥਿਕ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਡੇਟਾ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰੇਗੀ।
