ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਾਚੀ 'ਚ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ ਟਰਾਫੀ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਮੈਚ 'ਚ ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਟਾਸ ਜਿੱਤ ਕੇ ਗੇਂਦਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਅੱਠ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਈਸੀਸੀ ਸ਼ੋਅਪੀਸ ਲਗਭਗ 30 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੇਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟ ਦੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਦੇਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਿਊਜ਼ੀਲੈਂਡ ਨੇ 2023 ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ 11 ਵਾਰ ਵਨਡੇ ਮੈਚਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਨਤੀਜੇ ਗਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਗਰਦਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
